LPG/NATURAL GAS SEQUENTIAL INJECTION SYSTEMS FOR DIRECT INJECTION ENGINES
The AEB control units used to convert direct injection engines control the gas injectors to ensure the alternative fuel is supplied correctly when the engine is running.
Compared to indirect injection systems, the control units allow control and management of the petrol injector emulation while the engine is running on gas. The petrol injectors are no longer completely overridden during gas operation, but managed using strategies that depend on numerous variables, including the engine speed and load. This control avoids damage and ensures the petrol injectors are lubricated; at the same time it guarantees perfect vehicle driveability.
Thanks to the AEB direct injection control units, configured with a dedicated AEB software, the conversion system for these types of engine is easy to install.
The main benefits of the AEB solution are:
- reduced fuel costs and therefore savings for the end user;
- engine performance equal to normal petrol engines;
- a significant reduction in pollutant emissions in complete compliance with the new R115 regulations;
- complete protection of the original injector.
